Greek Islands - Sailing Yacht Charter
This is an unbelievable way to forget about the real world, turn your phone off and drift from island to island. A great place to start is in the Peloponnese at a small town called Poros. You can reach Poros from Athens on a short 1 hour fast ferry ride from Piraeus the main port. There are several charter yacht companies that t operate from here, and you can easily explore islands like Hydra, Spetses, and many more. This part of Greece suffers a lot less from the strong summ

Paxos - Where is that ?
Affordable Greek Holiday

Corfu - Yes it's still Greece
This Greek Island definitely should be on your to visit list. Its is much greener than the typical Greek Island one pictures in their mind. It is located between Italy and Greece in the Ionian Sea. There are direct flights in the summer from London (3 hours) under $120 , and from Athens (1 hour) for under $70. Corfu culturally and architecturally was strongly influenced by both the French and the English, both having held the islands of and on over in the distant past. So you

Tokyo Just not what you expect
Where to start. I had always wanted to visit Tokyo and Japan, it was so much more than i expected. Tokyo is so huge, a massive sprawling city, oddly built in parts on or around water ways. I expected a concrete jungle , a heaving mass of people moving like ants from place to place, with that big city feel. I was surprised how small and connected it felt, how friendly the people were, how interested they were in talking to us, and how hospitable the were. Tokyo the large city

London Still Calling
Thanks to Brexit London is looking more affordable than ever for a visit. The pound is down from 1.50 USD to just over $1.24 USD making the UK 20% cheaper to visit than a year ago. A lot of people when visiting London stay on the left side of the river in places like Knightsbridge and Chelsea which have their own unique charm, however there is a very cool spot just over the river near the tower bridge and the tower of London, here you can mix with the locals in a very cute ne

Maui - Escape the cold
So winter is really upon us, it's getting cold and wet (thankfully wet here in CA) so now is a great time for a short getaway to Hawaii. You can still find sub $600 Airfares from the bay area in January. And some availability for rooms. One of my favorite spots is Napili Beach which is between Kaanapali and Kapalua, its not always easy to get a place to stay here as it's so popular , so the best alternative is for those on a budget is the Ka'Anapali Beach Club ( not beach hot

Have you tried Airbnb yet ?
This option is a great one, for when you want to be immersed in a culture and are travelling with a large group. We enjoyed staying at this airbnb when we were road tripping in Tuscany, they are a little out of the way, but well located for many of the spots like Siena, Firenze etc. We were one of their 1st bookings back then , it appears they are still on a winning streak with lots of amazing reviews, its a little on the expensive side at $750 a night but can accommodate 14

Miami Getaway
With all the snow and low low temps all over the country right now, somewhere warm is calling my name super loud. And Miami is just one of those places that is so much fun, with so many things to do, amazing dining, lots of cool clubs if this is your thing. And when in Miami is always better to go Art Deco and small to really get the vibe. Here is my favorite place to stay when i am pre or post a cruise or just in town for a few days of sun and fun. Leslie Hotel - Ocean Driv

Calling All Skiers - Idaho

A Tuscan Secret - Elba Island
Elba Island is located off the coast of Tuscany just south of Livorno and Pisa. You get to this is island by car ferry from Piombino takes about 45 mins to 1 hour depending on the ferry, there are several ferry companies and they depart every hour or less. It pays to book you ferry ticket in advance in the summer to not be disappointed. The ferry ride alone is a lot of fun. I have been to this island several times once in the peak of summer and several times before and toward
