Miami Getaway

With all the snow and low low temps all over the country right now, somewhere warm is calling my name super loud. And Miami is just one of those places that is so much fun, with so many things to do, amazing dining, lots of cool clubs if this is your thing. And when in Miami is always better to go Art Deco and small to really get the vibe.

Here is my favorite place to stay when i am pre or post a cruise or just in town for a few days of sun and fun.

Leslie Hotel - Ocean Drive

Leslie Miami Beach

Absolutely loved this little hotel, there is a cool roof top pool to hang out at, they have towels for this or for the beach which is just across the street, you are at 12th street and Ocean Drive which is a great location in the Art Deco area. The rooms are nicely setup, and the staff super friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar ar leased out to another party so you have to pay as you go for food and drink, the food and cocktails are very good, and the free breakfast is above average and if you sleep too late the "pay for" breakfast at around $8 is very good.

Places to go out : for sure "Mango's" ( between 9th and 10th on Ocean Drive) this place has a live cabaret show every night and great cocktails, if you go before 8 pm there is no cover charge, loads of fun, dancing usually a good vibe any night of the week.

For great sushi Planet Sushi on Washington a few streets away, for a more romantic and dinner setting Osteria Del Teatro on Washington and Espanola Way, there is also a bunch of pretty good eats across the road from this, for bar fun times, you have Senior Frogs a block back on Collins Ave.

Room Tip: 3rd floor rooms are closer to pool and probably the quietest , not that there was any noise.

Rates here are around $250 a night when it's busy time.
